Built from a personal fight for the right diagnosis
In 2007, Sandeep Kumar fell ill and spent six months moving between hospitals in his home district before doctors could even diagnose him — his district simply didn't have the specialists or equipment to find the cause. He was eventually diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a bone cancer that nearly cost him his arm and his mobility.
That experience of being failed by a lack of local healthcare never left him. In July 2020, he invested his own savings to open DigiSwasthya's first telemedicine clinic in that same district — determined to make quality healthcare reachable for rural India.
